Complete all the practice and application section attached to the reading. (Self) Critique of First Draft Our rough drafts were due today at the start of class! I salute you! Now that we have our "down" drafts (as in get your ideas DOWN on paper) it's time to start the process of refining our work. We have lumps of coal right now. We will end with diamonds in our hands! We will use the same critique structure throughout this project. As promised, you do not have to show your first draft to anyone if you do not want to do so. If you are uncomfortable sharing your draft, complete this critique as a self-critique. You are welcome to trade with a partner if you would like. Here is the critique handout. You will only complete 1) Showing vs. Telling 2) Historical Content Integration 3) and Round Characters. Critique Rubric: How I will grade you on your critique.
