IN CASE YOU MISSED IT! Plan to have your story totally completed by the start of class Thursday, October 8th. You will be turning in a physical and digital portfolio that includes all of your drafts. Attendance and Journaling Reading Outdoors Choose your own book and join me outside for a 15-20 minute reading session. Read every day; every chance you get! Project Work Time Final Project Requirements 1 page exactly, single spaced, professional font (Times New Roman is best for this) Revise, Rethink, Earn Extra Credit: Critiques for Classmates For each critique you complete (and that I approve) you will receive 5 points in the "Are you doing your work?" section of the gradebook. You can turn in a maximum of 5 critiques for a total of 25 points! Boom! Create Your Own Challenge Extension! The purpose of a challenge extension is for a student to have a chance to go deeper with the curriculum of a class. For this project's challenge extension, I am asking you to transfer your storytelling skills to a new medium. I think some options are: 1) Podcasting in the style of "Radio Lab" or "StoryCorps" 2) Digital Storytelling (Video) 3) Narrative Art (Studio Art or Digital) 4) A product/form of expression not listed here that you are passionate or curious about. Please write a paragraph proposal of your challenge extension. Due Monday. In this paragraph answer: 1) The objective of your challenge extension--what will you do? 2) What will you have to learn to do it? Detail how you will learn these things. What "experts" will you base your work off of? 3) What skills or content ideas will you be going deeper into the curriculum of storytelling about? 4) Why will this extension be a challenge for you and not merely a "popsicle project" that is shallow and not intellectually rigorous? What steps will you take to ensure this?
