Today's Goals: 1) Make sure you are all caught up as a group--there have been some absences. If you are in a group with someone who has been absent, please slow down and take the time to catch them up a) Review Jigsaw Notes in depth. b) Explain "Problem, Solutions, Root Cause" sheet in depth. 2) If you did not get a chance to finish your work from yesterday, please carry on. Be sure to take time to complete the reflection piece at the bottom of the "Problems, Solutions, Root Cause" worksheet. **If you are unsure of what Root Cause Analysis is and why its crucial to the success of your project, please carefully consume this slideshow 3) Complete this worksheet on a computer as a more finalized and polished Root Cause Analysis. Print one copy for your group's portfolio. Please complete all 5 rounds of asking why and be as specific and detailed as you possibly can. This sheet will lay the groundwork for your Preliminary Business Plan. You might need to take time to brainstorm the intervention needed. Be nice to each other, be creative, develop your rough draft idea for your solution!! If you need more to do today... 4) Complete a refined and polished group mission statement. Don't print; just keep it in a safe place. 5) Begin compiling an outline of your preliminary business plan. Use the information on the whiteboard to develop this outline. For each section besides the Mission Statement, answer the questions in TEA paragraphs (What is the problem? What is the solution? etc. We will take Thursday and an hour on Friday to dial these in, so use this as a "Down Draft." If you finish these things, have a quiet study hall. Make me proud!
