List 3 similarities and 3 differences in the pictures. 2. Which do you think is the truer history? Why? 3. What more would you need to better make up your mind about the previous question (#2)? III. Historical Thinking Skills -Which of these came up in our conversation about the Boston Massacre images? Now, pay attention, history scholars!! (that's you) -Starting tomorrow, you will be analyzing roughly 8 primary source documents regarding the Gulf of Tonkin. Your job is to answer the following question--what exactly happened in the gulf of Tonkin in August of1964? 1) We gather evidence this week. 2) We analyze evidence using historical thinking skills. 3) We create effective notes and outlines. 4) We produce high-quality in-class writing (timed!) 5) We revise and critique our writing in class. 6) We have a second timed writing...something nearing flawless execution!! : ) IV. Gulf of Tonkin Think Aloud -We looked at a New York Times article about the Gulf of Tonkin resolution. We then completed a think aloud using different historical thinking skills. If you were absent, please plan on coming to office hours this Wednesday. V. Veteran Groups -Interview scheduled and written on calendar. -Tech has located camera. Confirm with Stephen - Logistics has registered with Library of Congress. Do these today:
