The Struggle Is RealWhat can I say! Cherish your health, dear Ospreys. CHERISH IT. It sounds like this illness has been ravaging our school, so to those of you who are sick and checking the DP, do what you can, but absolutely prioritize rest and drinking plenty of fluids. We'll have time to get back to school after we feel better. For those of you who are fortunate to have superior immune systems to us sickies, we're going to move on towards our next area of interest regarding technology in the 21st century.. So far, we've talked about: Artificial Intelligence Infotech/Big Data Social Media and now I'm super excited to announce that we're moving into BIOTECH! Let's Talk About BiotechIn order to understand Biotechnology (Biotech) even from a 30, 000 ft view, we need to have an understanding of a lot of, well, Biology. We'll dive into that a little later, but for now, let's make sure we are loosely familiar with the Humane Genome Project. That's really where it all starts. Check out the TED Ed first. Just watch, no need for notes. Today's Work1. Check out this documentary. It's about an hour long. The goal of watching this is to begin building a framework of what biotechnology is. 2. To that end, take notes by answering these questions as you view. 3. You can watch this individually or in partners by splitting an earbud. I just ask that you stay in the room to help support Melissa doing her job as a sub and keeping a (loving) eye on you! : ) That's all, folks! Good luck!
