Starter 26 Write a thoughtful note of encouragement to a fellow student or adult at AHS. You should write roughly half a page. Please BCC me on the email so I can give you credit for completing the Starter. Turn in Starters 21-25 Make sure to turn these in today before you leave class. If you are absent, please turn these in ASAP. Print these out if you type them on your computer. Turn In Seminar Reflection I'm going to use Kaizena to give these feedback, so submit here! I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier that I was using this. It works best if your paper is formatted in Google Docs. Grading Ideas We talked for about 30 minutes to wrap up our thoughts on how to grade this current project. You all shared some very excellent insights into the place of group grades in a 21st century learning context! The consensus seems to be that we are overwhelmingly in favor of a group grade. However, you were only in favor of group grades in groups that were self-selected and highly motivated. I think we can make something work. I'll have more details next week on your overall project rubric. Of course, there will still be individual grades throughout the project, like starters and the like. Project Handout It's finally here! If you were absent on Friday, what you need to know is that we will be mapping our strengths for each other on Tuesday (no school Monday.) We will also identify what geographic areas, populations, and sectors (water, energy, transportation, etc) that we are interested in working on. Once each student has done that, then we will form teams and begin brainstorming!
Homework None.
